Membership Benefits of

NSW Justice Association Inc.

The NSW Justices Association Inc. is the leading membership body for Justices of the Peace in NSW

NSWJA is non-political, non-sectarian community organisation. Its vision includes to promote, support, protect the status and interests of their members so they can better assist the community with quality JP services        (information provided by the NSWJA with thanks)


Branches

There are 27 branches throughout NSW including Coffs Harbour, Queanbeyan, Riverina, Central West Hunter Valley/Central Coast and Sydney metropolitan areas.

Members

The association has a total of  2,242  registered members and are all registered at their individual branches located across the state of NSW

Community Desks

The NSW Justices Association Inc. has over 130 community signing desks throughout NSW.  They are located in Libraries, Shopping Centres, Community Halls, Offices and shopping malls.

Association History

The organisation with its Justice of the Peace Volunteers has proudly served the NSW Community since 1911 with professionalism, commitment, fairness, respect and equality

Features and Benefits of Membership

NSWJA has Indemnity Insurance for any possible errors made in good faith, thus adding a level of protection to the JP should he/she inadvertently make an error. There is no indemnity insurance for Non Members of the NSWJA. There is also Volunteer Workers Insurance (from home to JP Community Desk back to Home)

NSWJA, has an unique on-line learning system ((LMS Learning Management System) regularly updated to reflect changes in procedures and assisting in their JP Knowledge Exam, It's a modern, easy-to use platform designed to support Justices of the Peace in NSW with high-quality training, guidance and self-assessment

Through the application of serving on a Community Signing Desk at one of the many locations around the state of New South Wales, NSW JP's manage to share experiences with fellow JP's trading information regarding experiences with new procedure, newly released documents, unusual situations, making decisions and priorotising management and time.

Attendance at monthly branch meetings gives many opportunities to network your skills in a relaxed and informal manner.  The opportunities also arise for further development by taking an active role in  assisting in the management of the branch, by volunteering for executive position during the branch annual meetings where positions are vacated. New or present members can nominate or be nominated for vacant positions at this stage.
